Art History Undergraduate Symposium

15th Annual Symposium

Submissions Deadline: February 10, 2018 at 11:59pm

The UBC Art History Students’ Association presents the 15th Annual Undergraduate Art History Symposium in partnership with the UBC Undergraduate Journal of Art History and Visual Culture (UJAH) in the first week of April 2019. Our goal is to provide an engaging and supportive environment for undergraduates to share their research with peers and faculty.

We encourage papers on topics related to art history, visual art, art theory, or visual culture. You do not have to be a student in the Department of Art History, Visual Art, and Theory in order to apply, but you must be an undergraduate student at the University of British Columbia.

If accepted, students will participate in three rounds of edits with UJAH editors leading up to the symposium, where they will present their research to students and faculty members for feedback. Their abstracts will be published in the print edition of UJAH, and the entire essay will be made available on www.ubcujah.com.

We are grateful for support from the UBC Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory as well as the UBC Arts Undergraduate Society.

Please email all submissions and questions to ubcahsa@gmail.com.
